Disk looks fine to me. I am dual booting this PC to Win 11. (Drive D) The other drive is storage (E).

I was making backup images with Macrium Reflect Free but when I got this PC in Feb. they had stopped the free edition and I didn't have a copy of the last free release. So I've been wondering what's out there to replace it. Anyway, thanks for the help I'm just gonna go ahead and install windows on it again. Probably just start making images again with Windows.

ChkDsk & CDI check different things.
ChkDsk checks the file system & bad sectors.
CDI checks a host of hardware measures & probably bad sectors.

You can still get the last free version - see

I use a free version of Acronis TI.
    There are lots of others.

    - do NOT use the built-in Backup and Restore (Windows 7). MS recommends against this.

The free version of Macrium R is still available- just not being updated.

Some have suggested Hasleo Backup (free) - the best of Macrium R's paid features. Chinese.
Aomei Backupper (free) - Chinese - also Pro is often given away.
    etc.

Thanks I got Macrium Reflect! Since I am most familiar with it.

I just ran chkdsk c: and no problems reported.

Wonder if MS fixed the recovery partition size in the latest ISO....I suppose I could allocate 500mb at custom install just in case.
