Windows 10 - unexpected store exception

This has just happened. Computer suddenly froze then got the blue screen of death.

Waited for it to collect data but it stayed on 0%. Shut the computer down and when turning it on, I get the MSI logo and nothing else happens. Help please.

It's a GE62VR 7RF. It has never happened before and it does get moved about a lot.

Welcome to tenforums. First you need to eliminate the possibility of hardware failure.

MSI GE62VR - appears to be a gaming laptop from around 2016 or 2017.

Try to boot it using any bootable disk.

If you don't already have one, using a different PC create a bootable Win 10 installation disk. (See the 'front page' of the Tutorials section (click Tutorials above) if you need a tutorial.

See if you can get the laptop to boot from that.

If you don't know how to get your laptop to boot from a bootable disk, Google can help.
Follow these steps to configure the MSI for USB booting:

    Boot your MSI laptop.
Once the MSI logo appears, press the F11 key repeatedly to open the Boot menu.
When you enter the Boot menu, select the USB boot mode option.
Press Enter to start booting from the USB drive.
If that fails, and you're sure you've done everything right, try removing the internal system disk (in case that's failed catastrophically) and try again.

    Checking the internal disk:
    You can
    a. put that in a caddy, connect it to another PC via USB and then see if you can access it and runa a check using e.g. Crystal Diskinfo (free).

    b. boot your PC from a live boot disk (if it will boot from any) and use a disk check found on most live boot disks - or use the portable version of Crystal Diskinfo (free).

(If you don't know what a live boot disk is, use Google, e.g. Hiren's, Bob Omb's - you can create one by downloading an iso file and use suitable suitable instructions for Rufus (free) for example).

    F11 doesn't work.

Could it be possible that it has come loose as I do move it about a lot. I Recently had a front bezel replaced also. I know that is not the problem.

And thank you very much indeed for your reply.

Kindly take some time to research (as I did for you) how to boot your specific laptop from a bootable disk.

Also confirm you have a bootable disk plugged in.

    Can you access your BIOS/UEFI?

If you cannot do that but are confident you know how to, everything begins to point to hardware failure.

One outside possibility might be the CMOS battery if you were really lucky.

F2 and esc don't work either.

I will remove the hard drive later and see if it still works.

Chances are great your HDD/SSD is Unplugged, or has failed.
As stated, Boot into Setup How to Enter BIOS on MSI Gaming Laptop | Robots.net
Here In System Information, see if your drive is listed. If not, it has failed. Replace with an SSD drive.
