    mp3 artwork

    this is an unusual problem

its driving me crazy, i hope someone can help

I have a collection of MP3 tracks, I add my own cover art work, a single image, but when I copy these to my media player device, some of the tracks do not display this cover art, but cover art pertaing tothe track e.g. some Elvis preslet tracks have the cover art of Elvis greatest hits. the media player device has been formatted and reset, plus i have tried this on a second identical brand new MP3 media player device witht he same results. I have used foobar to strip ALL tags artist cover art etc. but when copied it still shows the Elvis cover art on the elvis tracks, it seems to me that there is some embedded art work that foobar and MP3 tag can not see and therefore cannot remove. Please help me, im going slowly mad.

i am happy to post one of the MP3 tracks but not sure how
    thank you

    You can try this:

How to remove album art cover in mp3? Solved - Page 3 - Windows 7 Forums

    Try portable version:

    TagScanner - Download

    Or the nuclear option:

Program to remove Album art ?? - Windows 7 Forums

    Other possibility. From HIBY FAQ:

    HiBy Music

    Note   Note

    >> Cover

Q: How to display music cover?

A: Way 1: Embed covers into music by other softwares.

Way 2: Place cover pictures to the same folder as music. Keep their names as the same one. Follow the above way to display album cover, and rename them to "cover/front/folder".

I'm not sure what that means. (Way 2) I don't know if it refers to a folder on the device or a folder in Windows.

You need to use a MP3 tag scanning tool to ensure eacvh MP3 track has the album art embedded. I use Tagcsanner.

My music library has the 'standard' folder structure artist / album then mp3 files in the relevant album folder.

To edit multiple files in Tagscanner.

    1. Group by filepath - since I normally edit files in the same album together.
    2. Select the multiple files in the left pane
    3. In the right pane edit the common attributes for the selected tracks. For example you can delete all the album art then insert the same art file in each track.

    Thanks for all the help

as a matter of interest, when i add new music MP3s sometimes some of them still have the cover art originally associated with the track, even though tag scanner and mp3 tag show the cover art to be what i changed it to......I created a new folder and copied the contents to this, then changed the album title for the 1000 odd tracks and all is ok, something to do with folders....i just dont know or understand, will have to do this everytime i add new music tracks i guess
