I think (holding my breath) the issue is resolved. However, I disabled all the Context Menu items & I don't know which one was causing the problem.

Ok, now enable 2 or 3 in turn and work backwards until the problem reappears. Thus you find which one (or ones) is (are) responsible.

It appears to be Sage Thumbs. With that one disabled I can open the folders but don't have a thumbnail view. I have not restarted my PC yet so maybe that will change.

I restarted & I still have no thumbnails in that folder. All my other folders are okay. I moved them to another folder & still no thumbnails. However, I can view them with FastStone image viewer. I think I am going to call it a win.

I went through that whole procedure but still no thumbnails. Thanks for the suggestion.

Doesn't appear to have been updated since 2017...

    - which suggests it's not under development. Listed as compatible up to Win 8.1.

    Glad you've found a cause.
