apart the sarcasm when i has been in trouble since windows 10,
with my very loved windows xp was real another history,
no either restore point
or image disk, done by a free non shareware sw, has been helpful
so i decided to give up
but to return in topic
i hope that someone here will find the solution
if any is available
or if this is the new policy of ms to force also win 10 users to have only a ms acct to sing in, as already for win 11,
we all have to rise up our hands
cheers
I suggest you do it again but this time go to the Options menu and hide
- Empty locations
- MS entries
You need to examine each command in the results.
If it is running, stop it and restart it to see if it causes a login attempt.
I think you should start with that cmd.exe
And those three smartcard entries might also be a candidate for wanting you to login, I would have thought.

here it is what you required
you write.
"stop it and restart it"...:
how...?...i see only the option -delete- if i right click on it....
if it is enough to unflag and then to re-flag the entries just done with all of them...and nothing happens
and also you are only focused to the first part of this issue...as for dalchina i invite you to read carefully also the second and most important part...:
is clearly written in my first post:
going on and making my investigations i discover that if i shut down in task manager the explorer.exe process the desktop consequently disappear and became black and if i start again the process explorer.exe in task manager i got the same image attached asking me for my ms acc. passw., so this behaviour is tied and due to explorer.exe, infact at the winlogon there is the start of this process, so to sum up since some days explorer.exe when started, or at winlogon, or then manually by me in task manager, make appear the image attached asking me for ms acc. passw., the strange thing is that it isn’t blocking, i repeat that i’m able to click the white top left arrow and go suddenly to my desktop…
thxs for yr attn
cheers

I am suggesting that you use AutoRuns to get a list of things to investigate.
What I am suggesting is that you note each item that AutoRuns says is running and investigate each one.
I am not suggesting that you unset their checkboxes in AutoRuns [yet].
I should also have mentioned checking what is in your Startup foldersStart-up - All users "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"Paste those paths, funny symbols and all, into File explorer's address bar to get to them to see what is there.
Start-up - CurrentUser "C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
It's possible that that mysterious cmd.exe you found in AutoRuns is started by an entry on one of these folders.
Denis
so when you write "stop and restart" what you mean...??
i do the search you ask :
Start-up - All users "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
Start-up - CurrentUser "C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
and i attached here the screenshoots
about cmd.exe is in this reg key...:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot
...so maybe is related to safe booting...see:
Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot
and again..:
you are only focused to the first part of this issue...as for dalchina i invite you to read carefully also the second and most important part...:

So check out that hp application in your startup folder.
Denis
hi and thxs again
checked out...nothing change...
another investigation done is that i'm running on my pc a useful tool:
HiBit Startup Manager
i see that before 08 march 2024, so before this issue, my boot time was 32 sec average
now after 08 march so with this frustrating issue is 42 sec average
the tool has a report divided in 3 sectors: app and startup, drivers, kernel
the 10 sec of more time spent in booting are all in the first one: app and start up
see:
before 8 march:
app and startup 15sec
drivers 9 sec
kernel 8 sec
after 08 march
app and start up 25 sec
drivers 9 sec
kernel 8 sec
hope this helps
thxs so much in adv for yr kind attn and helping
cheers
