    The fact that you can click on that left arrow and see your own desktop demonstrates that, whatever that screen is, it is not your user account login.

    I have no idea if there is anything useful buried somewhere within those diagrams you just posted.

    What is listed in your Task mgr, Startup tab?

    and as i've already clearly written i have set passwordless login since years......pls see my latests posts...:
    Irrespective of whether you have passwordless/ no login configured, there remain situations in which you WILL be prompted for your password.

    The same is true if you choose to use a PIN or biometric ID.

    Now, to identify what startup is giving rise to this prompt
    after start before seeing my desktop
    - please first try a clean boot

    Google or see tutorial if unsure how.

    If you DON'T then get the password prompt work back and enable startups until you DO.

    If you DO see the prompt, then use Autoruns to carefully disable more, choosing less familiar ones.
    Do NOT disable MS items (you can hide those in Auotruns).

    It seems that Windows is trying to upgrade to 11, but since MSA is mandatory, it asks you to login first.
    Check windows update page to verify, if it is offered. If that is the case, you can try to disable the upgrade.

    I suddenly thought of performing an image search on the prompt you posted in #1.

    There are numerous cases in which you might see this. A few are shown here:

    hi Try3
    i attach a screenshoot
    only 6 process very trusted cause are on my pc since years...

    @TairikuOkami.
    my pc is not suitable, due to my hw, for win 11..it is clearly written in my windows update page...

    @dalchina
    done also clean boot.....same issue...
    but maybe you are only focused to the first part of my report here...pls read also the second and most important,
    is clearly written in my first post:
    going on and making my investigations i discover that if i shut down in task manager the explorer.exe process the desktop consequently disappear and became black and if i start again the process explorer.exe in task manager i got the same image attached asking me for my ms acc. passw., so this behaviour is tied and due to explorer.exe, infact at the winlogon there is the start of this process, so to sum up since some days explorer.exe when started, or at winlogon, or then manually by me in task manager, make appear the image attached asking me for ms acc. passw., the strange thing is that it isn’t blocking, i repeat that i’m able to click the white top left arrow and go suddenly to my desktop…

    I can't begin to guess what's happened to your PC. Sorry.

    In your situation I would either
    - use a System Restore point created before this started.
    or
    - restore a recent 3rd party disk image created before this started.

    MS does not care, once Win10 supports ends (2025), it can force the upgrade as recently proven by MS, which states that it will force upgrades, even if it makes unsupported PCs unbootable. Consider it as an early warning.

    Does the HP display centre require your login?

    If not you'll have to work through AutoRuns.
    Start looking in its Logon tab.
