    You don't have to copy anything!
    C:\WINDOWS\system32>CONVERT I: /FS:NTFS

    and you are ready

    Pentagon does have a good method pointed out.

    The last time, not too long ago, I tried converting FAT32 to NTFS I was warned that my data will be erased.

    I guess it's rather new that Windows can now convert File Systems in Drives without data loss:
