Can't add an HDD to indexed locations

Hi! I recently made some manipulations with my disks in PartitionWizard, copied one partition to another disk, then copied it back. Now, when I try selecting it in my indexing settings, windows somehow thinks that it's the other disk, that it was previously copied to. In the pictures are the states before/after I click the disk's checkbox. And when I add specific folders from that disk, it adds them as (unavailable) folders on that another disk (L). Please, help me resolve this issue!

If you copied cloned the disk the signature may be the same on 2 disk and you get a collisions What Is a Disk Signature and Why Is It Necessary?

Indexing often takes time to come to terms with re-arranged disks.

When I fitted a replacement internal disk last year it took a month before all partitions on the new disk were shown in indexing options.
I never found out why it took so long or if there was anything I could have done to speed the process up [deleting the index then re-indexing did not help].
    - No cloning was involved, I populated the disk by RoboCopying from its predecessor, it was only a data disk not my OS disk.

You could of course try Option 3 here:
Rebuild Search Index in Windows 10
    - but no guarantees, given Try3's comment.

You may want to make a note of what is selected to be indexed now before using that, as the index options will be reset to default.

I tried that. Didn't help. I think maybe something broke when I used PartitionWizard? Although no errors occured. I also tried the regular index rebuilding, and tried changing the drive letters.

Looks like deleting the disk's partition and creating a new one fixed the problem. Try3, thanks for mentioning robocopy! Actually, it's what I needed PartitionWizard for, I'll use robocopy from now on!

Thanks for mentioning that. I'll add it to my notes in case I ever get the problem again.

RoboCopy has quite a steep learning curve.
I use it in scripts for all my file backups.
I put a sample RoboCopy script in post #36 of this TenForums thread
and I also posted an attempt at a consolidated RoboCopy post - TenForums
and An explanation of some RoboCopy switches - my post #28 - TenForums
RoboCopy is the same in Windows 10 & 11.

    Best of luck,
    Denis
