i have the hp elitebook 745 and ryzen 3500u g6 5 pro whew! anyway i need to add some usb ports and i want to relocate the lan and hdmi and they are in my way on the side of the pc. i do not have lots or room for the mouse.

anyway i found these docks, so what do you think about these and will one of them work on hp laptops? i have a c port with the pd and ss and the usb see photo but i guess i need to know is will i have to power one of these docks or will the pc power the dock? this is one i'm looking at. i did get an hp dock but it is bulky and i do not have space on the sides of my station and if i put in behind the pc i can't get to the ports easy.

my pc has the docking port on the side but again that takes up lots of space i do not have. this one has the hdmi port that i can use for the mtg lg 75hz monitor if it is good enough for the monitor. and has a vga port if i was to have a need for a monitor with only a vga port. in case the mtg monitor fails and it has 2 usb 3.0 ports for the phone and the mouse. and i can use the pc for the other 2 port when needed as they would be open

this one has one has the hdmi but no vga and it has 2 usb 2.0 ports for the phone and the mouse and 2 3.0 ports for other devices like the backup drive and any other device i may need at the same time. and then i can keep the pc ports open

i think the first one will work and it has the vga port but the 2nd one is about half the price. but i would like the groups opinion as some here may have one like these now. see photos of the ports i have on my pc
