    Start Menu or Start Screen

I use the Start screen, I started with the Start menu but just feel more comfortable with the Start screen.

Start Menu - But I am not fussy about the menu as it appears in the Tech Preview. I liked IOBit StartMenu 8 much better. It's more like Windows Vista and 7.

I tried the Windows 8.1 Consumer Preview when it was out, and I could never get used to the start screen. Just felt weird. The new start menu, that I love. Live tiles are awesome, and I like having most of apps and programs pinned to it. I'm not sure why, but not have to move the mouse all the way to the taskbar (when using the windows key of course), or searching through the start menu just seems SO much easier to me.

Start Menu enables Jump Lists for certain applications, just like the 'good 'ol days'!

Start Menu as you control and tame the Start screen to only the apps you really need

There is additional options in the right click context menu holding Shift+Ctrl on Start Menu items and empty spaces.

    Hi there

Start menu - however text is too small currently on my monitors so I still use custom toolbar and desktop short cuts. I've made another post on how to find METRO apps and pin to desktop and run from desktop by clicking an icon just like normal desktop apps. I
'm sure when the text size image is fixed I'll prefer the menu as it's quite customiseable.

    Cheers
