Single persistent install error over the years with a single product

A single persistent install error over the years with a single product on only one machine!

It is a specialty software from Condusiv that caches disk I/O thus saving many repetitive I/O thus subsequently increasing disk performance resulting also in performance increases.

The product once started out as Diskeeper, later became SSDkeeper, then combined to V-locity and and now combined all-in-one in and DimaxIO, a product that can save you an astonishing amount of I/O and data shuffling thus substantially increasing performance and subsequently life of a storage device.

By now many years ago, Diskeeper Pro by Condusiv was installed successfully.
Later it was uninstalled and V-locity by the same company was installed successfully.
not too long ago all was upgraded and DimaxIO was installed successfully.

Not so however with one machine with a more or less identical app install and uninstall history.
on this machine while Diskeeper Pro was successfully installed and uninstalled, V-locity would never install always resulting in the install wizard error:

    InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before V-locity could be completely installed,
Your system has not been modified.
To complete installation at another time, please run setup again,
Click Finish to exit the wizard,

Cleaning out the registry of any previous references, doing a clean boot, checking permissions etc. you name it, nothing helped.

The persistent installer problem resulting in the following InstallShield Wizard message:
Single persistent install error over the years with a single product-condusiv-dymaxio-installer-error.jpg

again, this is the only app who has this issue. Everything else perfectly installs that uninstalls and no problem was ever encountered with any other app. Only this particular one and only on one machine!

Where oh where is that proverbial dog buried???

I am the admin and only use the admin account. the issue is only on one machine.
Even installing it in a virtual machine (on the same where it doesn't install) is no issue.
everything works without a snag except the installation process of either the v-locity or dymaxio.

Even if you are the only user logged in as Admin, When you install an app, you should right click the Setup.exe and choose to Run As Administrator. which is being discussed here.

Does this app install on any of your other VM's? If this is the only VM, it maybe a condition of the amount of assigned RAM,
Video as well as the available Free Space in the VM

I am the admin, I know that, I do that.
One more time: it installs everywhere, real or virtual, except on this one machine. however it installs on that machine in the virtual but not in the real environment.
There is an MSI error message however everything else installed or uninstalled over time the matter is you only this one app.

Have you read their Technical FAQ?
How to correct a failed install/ uninstall

Sometimes an error can occur during installation leaving you with a partly installed product which then causes subsequent installation attempts to fail as well. This can also happen when uninstalling a product.

Fortunately, Microsoft has created a Fix it utility that you can run to clean up installations.

Please visit the following website to learn more about the Microsoft Installation Fix it utility.

    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Pr..._and_Uninstall

Run this program to resolve problems that prevent our software from being completely uninstalled.

Once this is done, you should be able to install your purchased software without any issues.

For download links to your purchased software, please visit http://my.condusiv.com and login using the email address that you provided when you purchased your software.

    SOLVED

I suspected an old residual of our previous Diskeeper buried somewhere deep in the registry being the culprit.
I wrote their tech support which promptly replied sending me a cmd cleaner app file to make sure all errant residuals ("computer software free radicals") of any previous installation or trials are eliminated!
That did it and thereafter the installation worked flawlessly!

This error was persistent particular on one machine and I started to suspect that it might've been the residual of a Once upon a time trial installation of one of their older products: Diskeeper.

The Microsoft fix-it utility didn't do much as it was an installation problem and therefore no existing references were present.

As posted earlier the problem is solved condusiv send me a cleanup utility and that fixed it.
Thank you anyway for your suggestions!
