Disable the caps Lock key without editing the registry

I have in the passed disabled the caps lock key on my work laptop by editing the registry, but now I don't have access to the registry on my new laptop. I need to another way to disable it. I can not install any third party app either. Is there a way to disable Caps lock key without registry hack or 3rd party software??

If you do not have access to the registry and cannot install any app to enable what you want due to restrictions in place by your work`s IT dept or whoever, then there is no way forward - other than asking the IT dept to do it.

If of course the laptop is owned by whoever you work for and they have an IT dept.

Well, you could make a cover for it...!

    More seriously see:

Thanks I had heard about the Text and Input Language method but lost the link to it. Will certainly see if I can get it to work on my laptop.

    Thanks

Unless I have misread it these suggestions do NOT DISABLE the caps lock key - they simply turn off caps lock

    Ok, you're right.

    Let's try something else then.

@xendistar - can you run a tiny program from a flash drive?
I have one that disables CAPS LOCK. No installation needed.

you could remove the key cap? it means no tab bumping the caps key by mistake and then you can still use it if needed but you would have to intentionally press that area as its sunken in.

if it uses switches then it would be a less desirable approach. The caps key is redundant anyway they should just remove it, it gets bumped more than not and its a useless key.
