If you want to examine the data records for a given task, I suggest you
1 Select that TS task's Custom view on the left-hand side,
2 Click on Save all events in Custom view as ...
3 Export it as a csv file
4 Close Event viewer [I find this necessary to allow the csv to be opened]
5 Open the csv in Excel
6 Add a title in the top cell of column F, Description might be appropriate
7 Select all the top row cells & click on Sort & filter then Filter
8 Click on the dropdown arrow for column F & filter by the name of the task you want to investigate.
9 SaveAs xlsx because csv cannot save any column formatting, filters, ...

    You should see, for each time the task runs, a sequence of column D EventIDs - 107, 129, 100, 200, 201, 102

And what you are looking for is an exception to that sequence i.e. a task that has not run correctly [as far as TS is concerned, it does not care what your task actually does].

Sorry about that, I thought I was sending the results. This is what I got:
Task Scheduler to wake from sleep-info.png

And every other listed this as the user.

    Our posts crossed.
    Please see my post #61.

Your diagrams are not those for your own task but for a task related to Windows update.
If that task time matches the unexpected wakeups overnight then that explains what is causing them. I doubt that they record enough data to explain why they went to sleep again after only a few seconds.
You can investigate that task in the output file I described in #61. Filter by Schedule Wake To Work
My own Schedule Wake To Work records contain nothing of any use whatsoever. Just a long list of EventID 140.
    [S-1-5-18 is the System 'user']

The output csv file contains the same info as what I sent in post 62, nothing new. Tomorrow I wait until after 10:10 to see if pttme.exe is loaded before I login.

The output csv file lists the name of the task for every occurrence so you can look down the list instead of separately selecting each record in Event viewer to read its General tab.

10:15 am, the power button is on (not flashing) touch the mouse and up comes the login screen and then pttme.exe is up and ready to run.

I searched the registry for pttme.exe, found 10 entries, 8 of which I've copied:
Task Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg1.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg2.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg3.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg4.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg5.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg6.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg7.pngTask Scheduler to wake from sleep-reg8.png

Do you know who Dennis Babkin is?

He is the author of that utility that you installed, presumably donkeys years ago.
He is in Vancouver and he overuses exclamation marks.

I just searched my office computer for 'Dennis Babkin' was not found. Found over 20 instances of pttme.exe, with most of them being from backups.

His FAQ page makes me think that utility is still installed
I'm experimenting with WakeupOnStandBy app. It works great, except that on my Windows XP Home machine, the PC goes back to sleep again after 2 minutes. Is there a change I can make to the code that will wake the PC up in such a way that it will remain awake?
I wanted to double-check my comment by looking up what your Sleep after setting is in Power options but cannot find it. I thought you had posted it some time ago.

Riddle solved, Dalchina recommended wuos, and I tried it and concluded that it didn't work (post 31), don't recall the details, but it seems to work if TS wakes up the computer first.

Again thank you for all the time and effort you put into this.
