    I understand the error.

You cannot run Whether logged on or not any task that calls a user interface.
    Notepad has a user interface.

1 Set your task to run only when you are logged on, and
2 Set the checkbox for Wake the computer to run this task,
    then you should be fine.

    Does your computer S3 Sleep?
    Check by running the command
    Code:
    PowerCfg -a
I think the answer is yes but please do check before we go any further.

What are you actually trying to achieve?
Is this just an exercise in using Task scheduler or are you going to substitute another action in place of your current Notepad?

    All the best,
    Denis

Hannes - Sorry to repeat a lot of your post. I somehow managed to not see it until I'd posted mine.

Changing to only run when logged in still produces the error.

    S3 is available.

Please right click & export the task then zip it up and post it.

Denis, no worries. Glad to see we are thinking along the same lines. Great minds think alike, and so do we

You have to zip it up first because .xml files are not allowed.
Then it's the same procedure as posting diagrams.

    From studying the xml
1 That's not the task you posted about before.
2 This task's Action has no arguments. Do you get the same error message?
3 All mine have the entry
    <LogonType>InteractiveToken</LogonType>
    whilst yours has
    <LogonType>Password</LogonType>
I have never seen that before and do not know what it means.

From test runs [with modified Action & with <UserId> line removed as is normal when using somebody else's Task definition]
    - I substituted FoxitPDFReader as the action
Mine ran on demand [right-click, Run]
Mine ran on schedule - it woke up the computer and ran my Action.
When I re-exported mine, the xml contained <LogonType>InteractiveToken</LogonType> so it is the OS affecting this. I know nothing about managed networks. Perhaps that is where <LogonType>Password</LogonType> is used.

Perhaps you would like to import & run my modified version in two test runs [I've already removed the <UserId> line for you so it picks up your own user account]
    rboppy - wake from sleep - modified.zip
1 Using whatever executable you want - something simple like a pdf reader
    2 Using your intended pttme.exe
To import a task xml, look on the right-hand side of TS, Import task ...
