    Unwanted "updates"

My Win 10 PC has just started installing unwanted "updates" of MS Edge, Store and OneDrive. It also keep removing the installation of Outlook.

What is making me most furious is that MS removed my installation of Firefox together with all bookmarks. Outlook and Firefox can be reinstalled, but the bookmarks are lost.

What can I do to fix this? I have a full backup of the "Users" folder that I am right now downloading from Carbonite, but what to do with it? Shall I start reinstalling Win 10 from the CD or is there another more preferable procedure?

Hi, I've never found that Firefox has been arbitrarily removed 'by MS'.

Expect updates of MS Edge, Store and OneDrive to be routinely delivered - no surprise there.
    The surprise is your statement:
has just started installing unwanted "updates"
Not unless you thought you'd disabled Windows Update and Store updates somehow, that is. Have you?

I don't use Outlook, but that's part of MS Office. Never heard of anyone complaining it had 'disappeared'.

You seem to be having some very strange experiences. What is unusual about your configuration?

Thousands of times on tenforums members have recommended the routine and regular use of disk imaging to external storage.
Use e.g. Google search if unfamiliar. E.g. Macrium Reflect, Aomei Backupper.... free versions available.

Just restore your Firefox profile from your backup copy.

I doubt that anything got removed by Microsoft. Most likely it's user error or too much tweaking or system cleaning.
