Help! The "Value" field in a file's Details is unresponsive

    Hi! :)
First post here, i hope i abide by the rules of the forum, also i feel encouraged to see so many people viewing the forum and hope somebody can help me.
So the problem is that the "Value" field in a file's Properties->Details->Description box is unresponsive. Unfortunately when googling i haven't found anybody with this problem, there are some who say they don't have any boxes like "Title", "Subtitle", "Rating","Tag" for "Descripton" field in file's details, or some other problems concerning Details, but this problem i've got, i unfortunatley haven't found a solution to. Maybe Can You please help me? :)

Also my build number is 19045.3803

    Welcome to tenforums.

The fields available depend initially on the file type. Certain registry modifications can change these.
I don't know what a 'value' field is offhand. So..

    a. Which file type or types are you referring to?
    b. Please post a screenshot. Thus:

    Thanks.

    I appreciate Your response, sir!

This is a screenshot of the "Description" box in file's "Details" section. The "Value" fields should be clickable, but for some for this file they are not:

It is a mp4 video file. I will post a screenshot of another mp4 video file's details page I have in the same folder, which allows me to change the "Value" fields, like this:

So, I would like to be able to change the "Value" fields for all my files. How would that be possible, please, sir?

I find that I also can't add anything in that Tags field although it can be clicked to highlight but no dialog box. Maybe that has to come from the creator program for it?

Apparently some of the files were corrupted, so I did sfc /scannow in command prompt and it fixed it.

Thank You for Your invested time and Your interest, sirs, I do appreciate it!

    EDIT:
    it fixed a file in question, but when trying to further use file tagging, I realized more files were being unable to tag, so I downloaded MP4 Video & Audio Tag Editor which is a workaround (I hope i can type a software's full name, i don't do it to advertise, just for information purposes}
EDIT2: it turns out MP4 Video & Audio Tag Editor is a 25 day trial version, the full version 14.95 in Microsoft Store. Cheers!

Hi, I can add a tag to a .mp4 with no need to buy a program. Example of mine:

There's a free tool which gives you a lot more flexibility with many file types- effectively it modifies the relevant values in the registry that control what is available in Properties, Details, and the Details pane.

    FileMetaAssociationManager (free).
