I don't think it will, that name is just an aesthetic name, windows will refer to it by it's GUID internally.
Should I try commands like sfc and dism first?

If you're having issues then yes, you could have done that whilst waiting for replies.

As the title says, my desktop folder now says "Desktop" instead of "Pulpit" like it should

I test a lot with different languages and sometimes I see weird problems with incorrect language being displayed. When it's a problem of a Store app showing the incorrect language, it's usually fixed by dragging the installed languages in Settings to the correct order. When it's a problem of some items still being in English in the OS, it's usually fixed by running Windows Update. The problem appears to be that one or more MUI files are missing or are incorrectly referenced. Running Windows Update (any update) usually fixes it.

Only update I have is the KB5034441 which keeps failing due to the recovery partition being too small for the updated files

Then you need to fix that issue so that Windows Update can run successfully.

I recall seeing another thread here (or maybe on elevenforum.com) about the recovery partition size and Windows Update. I would probably just break out MiniTool Partition Wizard and make the recovery partition larger.

Then delete it [after having made a new system image].

The purpose of the Recovery Partition created during the installation of Windows 10 is to hold the recovery environment, winre.wim. This also can easily be moved to the C: drive partition by simply running reagentc /disable, delete the recovery partition, then run reagentc /enable.

Or seek advice in KB5034441 - TenForums

It looks like it's time to try a repair install:
