    remove open dialog grouping

I need to remove the open dialog grouping that seems to happen in certain open dialogs.
This is occurring one case in the screen capture program Greenshot:

Again it is happening from a cloud storage platform dialog:

Of course I should mention that grouping is set to '(None)' in File Explorer after which enabling 'Apply to Folders' in the 'View' tab.

Take a screenshot of the right click -> Group by
    in that window

Right click in an empty space on the right side: View -> Details
See if it saves the view settings the next time you open that Dialog Box.

Indeed it is grouped by date according to this menu I was not privy to, although is there a way to make a change to this setting be remembered. The dialog reverts back to grouping even after loading and saving a file. Or could this be an application specific issue?

I always use the (none) choice to rid the grouping view but mostly it's in the Details view which seems to have more choices than the others.

Hmm.. yea.. You would select (None), which I'm sure you did.

Ummm... just keep selecting none, try closing the program immediately afterwards, and hope it saves the setting. It's an issue with Windows 10 that I experience a lot. I don't know a fix for it really.

You can try selecting none, then without closing that window, if it's safe to restart the computer while that program is open, restart the computer, and hope the Registry will save that setting. Not sure.

Same answer as in this thread:
    copy folder view customization

    Use WinSetView.
