PC unable to load into windows. Please help

    Hello,

My pc suddenly show blue screen (screenshot https://i.imgur.com/oSRZXOd.jpeg ) (stuck at 0% complete for many hours) so I off power and then on power again,

After I power on again I see the 2 red led blink once every few seconds, the internal fans also spin once every few seconds, this goes on forever, video 20240113 091445 - YouTube

I then switch off pc power and switch off power plug socket power for about 2 hours and then switch on again and it works normally for some hours, then blue screen (screenshot https://i.imgur.com/ScqPS5n_d.webp?m...fidelity=grand ) happen again and stuck at 0% forever. The stop code shown in the blue screen is different from the previous time. I switch off power and switch on power, fans inside PC is spinning, right red led is stable, left led no light, monitor is black. I then switch off again and leave it alone for a few hours then switch on and the pc is like what happen in the video posted above again. Now still unable to load into windows.

    Please help.

    Thanks a lot.

    From your screenshot:
    Stop code
    machine check exception

    - most likely to be a hardware problem.

How to Fix the Machine Check Exception BSOD in Windows 10

See if you can boot your PC from a Win 10 install disk- or any bootable disk you have, just to see if you can get anything running on your PC.

N.B. if using a Win 10 install disk, you can, if you like, and you get that far, proceed to the Advanced Startup Options via 'repair your computer' - you're not aiming to reinstall Windows.

I'm assuming you know how to boot your PC from a bootable disk. That varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
    Google can help if unsure.

    Your pc is old,around 2009.
Tntermittent fan operation can be a faulty fan,a poor cable connection,a faulty Power Supply Unit [PSU ] or a combination.
What is the power rating of the PSU ?
When the Power On Self Test,[POST ] is operating,do you get beeps or just the lights ?The motherboard manual or the manufacturer should give you the meaning.

The CPU is not initializing because its in a loop with the red lights and the CPU fan starts then stops which usually means pre post boot loop all those symptoms are usually CPU issue or at least very core level problem.
The bios won't start where the CPU is the first thing to come alive basically because its the brains of the computer which needs to run microcode for the bios to start. Black screen would indicate that further line of thinking.

At the very least do a cmoss reset in case there is any conflicting parameters. Black monitor also backs this up.

Seeing as you mention two scenarios then it would mean intermittent parts. How far you want to diagnose that is at your discretion. I would be at minimum taking the CPU out and redoing its thermals and making sure its plugged in properly, you might want to re plug everything else.

if you have OCd the pc then you would want to default those settings.

    Thank you for your reply.

As we've said, the consensus is it's likely to be a hardware problem.

All fans look like the video spin for a few seconds and stop and repeat, it seems unlikely all fans are faulty at the same time and same pattern.

Power supply is seasonic M12II-520Bronze Model SS-520GM Active PFC F3

What do you mean by POST? My monitor is black. My situation now is like the video I posted and during the video my monitor is black.

No beeps, just the red led.

Here's how you find the answer to such questions:
PC unable to load into windows. Please help-1.jpg

To resolve your problem I suggest you
    - need to be proficient in computer repair
    - have appropriate tools and spare parts to hand
    or
    - take PC to a repair place
    - replace PC

    Probably.

I just done a cmos reset by taking out the battery for 10 mins and then put back the battery. It is still the same problem like my video, with black monitor.

2 months ago I replaced my card and ram, and everything worked smoothly for 2 months. I just tried removing the rams then re plug the ram, and also remove the graphics card and re plug the graphics card, same problem like the video I posted.

Did not touch the CPU as I do not know how. Not sure how to redo the thermals. I guess I don't have the thermal paste, does thermal paste expire? If I have one it would be a long time ago.

I know POST is the screens that appear during power on, I mean my monitor is black so how do I do the POST thing he mentioned, he mentioned about beeps so I was thinking maybe something could be done even if it is a black monitor. "black monitor" means nothing appears on monitor and it is all black.
