How can I add fonts with multiple optical sizes on Windows? (LM Roman)

    Hello all,

I'm trying to install the Latin Modern family of fonts on my Windows 11 desktop but I'm struggling with figuring out how to make it so that when I choose a Latin Modern font (i.e., LM Roman because I think it looks gorgeous) in Word, I can just select "LM Roman" and have size adjust automatically with the default font size, without needing to select individual LM Roman -5, -6, -7, -8, -9, -10, etc. whenever I need to change font size. I think I've spent a good 2 days searching but most results mention CSS adjustments, which doesn't help me much. Could someone help?

    Thanks!

No doubt it may be similar, perhaps identical (I have no clue), but you're posting a question about Windows 11 in a Windows 10 forum.

Try ElevenForums for accurate, version-specific answers.

As you're asking about Microsoft Word then I assume 'style' adjustment may be what you are after... perhaps a dedicated Word forum would be able to answer better rather than a forum dedicated to an OS rather than an app?

    Hope this helps...

Part of the value of a word processor versus a text editor is the ability to do much more formatting and it's usually a three-step process, choose the Font to be used then choose the size then choose the appearance whether Bold, Italic, etc. Only thing I can think of is to create a template as desired and use that for future documents.

I don't really understand what you mean. If I open a blank word document with default font size 10pt and choose another font then the size does not change.

Anyway to change size fast double or triple click some text or otherwise highlight it.

    Then use shortcuts:
    CTRL+]
    and CTRL+[

to increase or decrease in steps.

I don't see which word processor is being used to create a document but might see if it can do as desired using Macros.
