new switch button appeared in Settings

Hi folks, just noticed this new button in Personalization Settings. Before that I was wondering where this yellow notification in the account picture came from, saying that my Microsoft account needs some attention.
Hope to be useful in that finding.

Did you click the icon with the yellow mark? And do what it is asking for?

For notifications, go to Settings/System/Notifications & actions.

To Fix any problems with your Microsoft Account go to Settings/Accounts

A short text was showing when hover on the yellow mark - something like "add additional email adress or second phone number". Sorry spunk but don't remember what exactly was. Happened last week. And I'm sure that my account is in order.

    Thanks for the find...!

I'd noticed this new annoying yellow dot on my profile picture a few weeks ago, which for me was unnecessarily 'reminding' me I could use a Microsoft Account for login.

Similar to the colored dots that appeared 2 years ago on items atop the settings banner like Rewards and OneDrive.

Glad to see I can at least turn this nag off..!

Microsoft are becoming more and more adept at annoying nags and unnecessary reminders.

    So true...

Interesting with those Setting's Nags, if you'll remember, is for a very short time they were originally these alarmingly ugly yellow ( ! ) exclamations, that would only turned to Green ( √ ) check marks if you did what they wanted.

However the user feedback was so negative that they were forced to toned them down to a simple plain accent color dot it there was a issue.

You're right, shouldn't bother but they're somehow annoying. Like I don't own my computer or have stolen the operating system. Reninders I need and do, when I need...
