oldguy - simple, right? 3 dots, more tools, pin to taskbar, done. but, Ive said b4, doesnt work. maybe thats how I did it before when I had them in the taskbar because its easy, maybe it worked before, cant remember. wish it did now. and the "drag the desktop shortcut to the taskbar" doesnt work.
I have plenty of room in taskbar for the amount of sites I used often. what else is it used for?? it's the easiest way, it's there in view all the time, go to it, click it, done.

3nd - your post 15 doesnt work, when I rt clk the taskbar, it just says "unpin from taskbar"
and no matter how many different directions Ive tried to follow to do the "3 dots/more tools/pin to taskbar"...it doesnt.
dragging/dropping a desktop shortcut into taskbar doesnt work.

something technical must have went wrong somewhere in my computer?? cause as Ive said, it had to have been easy to do if I was able to do it before, I must have used one of these "easy" ways before, cant remember.

guess it's time to give up. maybe try to figure out how to do that thing where the whole system gets "repaired". I dread that. Ive noticed a few other small things that dont seem to be working same way as before. all this for such a simple thing, I thought. I give up, thanks all for trying to help me.

U must click in an empty space anywhere on task bar, not on some icon.
