Windows 10 won't boot. Possible damage to bootloader. Help please

    SIW2, Thanks. Great tips about the Command window copy, paste facilities.

    Regarding my original problem with the a non-booting system, it was a BCD issue. Fortunately, the old spinner drive contained a number of Macrium system backups, so all I had to do was create a Macrium recovery USB on another computer, boot into the unbootable system and fix the problem.

    However, it turned out I didn't need to restore a full 65GB backup, all it took was to click on 'Repair boot' and it was fixed in a few seconds. Rebooted and voila, system working 100%. Macrium Reflect saved the day!
