I am starting to believe I will not be able to have the cake so ...
Not at all savvy about reg files. Can a batch file execute a reg file and bypass all those prompts? I have a batch script that runs at startup and one that runs on shutdown. I was thinking, if possible that the startup batch would contain the 'disable lock screen' reg and the shutdown batch contain the 'disable lockscreen' reg. Thoughts?
Don't know about that computer model but have seen some that had to go through the BIOS setup [usually F2 at the motherboard/brand logo] to assure the RAM/Random Access Memory is correct and the boot/system drive is identified. Windows has to read the BIOS to determine what resources it has to work with before it starts loading.
Thanks Berton. Post #1 issue resolved via reg suggestion. Any input with regards to post #7 and #14?
