That fixed it. Now my time zone has changed from Eastern to Pacific. You could try this Touch Keyboard Toolbar - Enable or Disable in Windows 8
It always seems to appear if you use RDP or VM in Windows 8

At least you guys got it to install. On this machine I am trying to upgrade Windows 8.1 and I have tried no end of things. The install quits and hangs at around 2% or 22% after a reboot and "Setting up devices". A reboot rolls back to Windows 8.1. or 7 as this is a dual booter.
The only error code I get is this one :
Windows 10 Error code 0xc1900101-0x30018
https://www.tenforums.com/installation-and-setup/2126-windows-10-error-code-0xc1900101-0x30018.html
OK, I have run SFC and checked for error, all drivers are up to date. Tried it in Safe Mode with Safe MSI. I have tried 4 times so far but will keep bashing away as now I want to know what is the problem?
Sleep failure. (Just when I thought my 8.1 insomnia issues were over!!).
It appears that the auto update sends out a power request under 'EXECUTION' showing as \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\svchost.exe (wuauserv) and this stops timeout sleep. Problem is, win 10 doesn't clear this request after the update so no more sleep till you restart.
Event logs\system show the updates being recorded. It is after that my sleep stops.
Others seen this?
I have had a freeze on the start screen and a memory error window pop up. I have since changed back to the start menu and it has not happened since. Touch wood it stays that way.
Thanks Edwin this helped a lot.
You have to change the immersive DPI, (for the Start Menu), in PC Settings►PC and devices►Display►More options(bottom)►Default or Larger(from drop down).
Went into PC Settings/Display/More Options and set the option to "Larger" and that fixed me right up! Start-menu text is now at least 2x as large as it was--perfect size, really. I love the left/right-click nature of the new start menu, too!
Fine tune other text sizes by going to Desktop-right click/screen resolution/make text or other items larger or smaller...lots of nice options there, too.
(Egads...I see others beat me to it...)
