Okay, this seems to be really dickered:
As Windows seems to select a color for you, based on an image you set as desktop background, automatically, not all the UI colors match, eg. headers/boarders and the stinkin transparent taskbar; but all that can be adjusted except for:
and here's the crux:
If you are using the Start Menu UI and the Start Button hover color doesn't match, you have to go over to the Start Screen UI to change it!

(And, just to confirm, there is NO Hot Corners for desktop installations, just

+ C to invoke the Charms Bar or the updated Menu when you have a 'Modern' App open:

EDIT: On top of it all, it doesn't save when you go back!

That's where I did properties from,
Also personalize from both start and desktop ?
Start menu color isn't the same as everything else :/
Also from settings on the top left of a couple of windows ?

I think Microsoft turned off the feedback app for the weekend it still shows thanks for the feedback and is blank

I got a popup this morning when I use the winkey and that's it

I have unchecked "Show Touch Keyboard" Several times. I have a desktop not a touch. Every time I exit and restart it's there again.

You could try this Touch Keyboard Toolbar - Enable or Disable in Windows 8

It always seems to appear if you use RDP or VM in Windows 8

Thanks adamf. I'll give that a try. One other thing I've found is, I changed my search to Google and IE 11 didn't save that either.
