Beats me, but it takes me directly to the setting!?
Yep, and mine is a laptop; thus, no tablet possible.

Really? You can't go into tablet mode?

Dunno, Edwin. Since the laptop's not a tablet, I didn't even think of trying. Is there a reason I should?

Well, shoot, when I clicked on Tablet mode, all it did was to "restore down" the windows I had open.

Yeah, it essentially kills the desktop and opens apps in full screen mode by default.

Yup, only with Word though, Excel and Power Point still work!?!?!?
Absolutely no issues with any of the Office Preview apps, none of them are down, all available in Beta Store, all functioning perfectly.

This app can't open. Check the Windows Store for more info about Word Preview. Go to the Store. Close.

While I was there, I saw Solitaire and decided to install it. When I tried to run it, I got the exact same message as with Word and Excel!

In a private newsgroup I'm a member of, I asked the above question and was told by an Office 365 MVP, "The apps are down. You have to wait."

    Anyone else seeing this?

The highlighted part in above quote suggests you were in the wrong store. Office Preview Apps are only available in Beta Store, which has not a single of Microsoft's Solitaire games. If you downloaded a Microsoft Solitaire which did not work, you were not in Beta Store. If you downloaded a third party Solitaire game from Beta Store and it did not work, it has naturally nothing to do with some Microsoft apps possibly not working.

Anybody else get this when right clicking on 'Tablet mode'?
Right click on anything in the top row, sans All settings, gives me the Go to settings, nothing in the bottom row does though.

Nope, the Store beta is hit or miss for me. I did get the preview Office apps, but when I tried this morning to look I got this message:

Testing again, I have absolutely no issues with Beta Store.

Using silverlight on sky go it says silverlight needs your permission, it doesn't but you can right click and run plugin, it then works.🙈🙉🙊
