Dell Laptop Boot & Black Screen Problems

I have a Dell Inspiron 7537 laptop bought in 2014. Recently it has failed to wake from sleep with a blank screen. When I reboot by holding the power on key it shows the Dell logo, I can see the disk access light flashing but just have a blank screen. After several such reboot attempts it finally decides to work. Sometimes on reboot I don't see the Dell logo.

Chkdsk runs fine, the Windows memory test shows no problem and sfc /scannow and Dism configuration checks fine. I've even done a clean install of Windows 10.

Any ideas? I'm beginning to suspect a dodgy connection between the screen and motherboard.

It sounds like problem with faulty GPU or loose cable connection as BIOS logo nothing to do with Windows 10 still update the BIOS firmware to see it will resolve the problem also factory reset BIOS configurations.
