    how do i stop microsoft advertising in my system tray, constant asking me to get office basic 265

    Check your Settings, Apps for a trial version of Office365 and uninstall it if you don't want it. This, I think, is what is being referred to in your system tray popup.
    If you also have a paid-for version of MSOffice in use then you'll probably have to run an Office repair on it after removing the trial.

    If you don't have any trial version please would you post a [suitably cropped] screenshot of the ad you are talking about in the hope that somebody recognises it.
