Trouble booting new linux OS over windows 10
Look guys, I have no idea what I'm doing, but ill try to summarize the problem.
Trying to boot a linux OS from a CD onto my PC (which was originally a mac and had windows booted on it) but current windows OS is broken and wont let me into UEFI and access the BIOS setup screen. The option simply isn't there when I go to advanced repair etc. I found others who have had this exact problem before, and they were ultimately told its a firmware bug that may require updated firmware or something. However, I saw some other things that make it seem like it might be possible to boot Linux through command prompt. So I've been messing around in that for a while through the advanced repair options window, I've gotten to "DISK PART" and found the directory to the linux CD OS, but I am unsure where to go from here, is there a way I can force the system to boot using the Linux files from command prompt? I seriously don't know what I'm doing. Thanks!
