    [SOLVED] [CLI] Restart service?

    Hello,

Sometimes the audio driver on my computer goes crazy, causing the CPU to make a racket.

Opening the Services GUI app and restarting the "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" (AudioEndpointBuilder) does the trick. That service also restarts the "Windows Audio" service.

As a simpler solution, is there a CLI app that can do the same thing, so I can simply double-click a CMD script?

    Thank you.

    NO RESTART c:\Apps\DevManView\DevManView.exe
    NO RESTART net restart AudioEndpointBuilder
ACCESS DENIED cmd /c "net stop "AudioEndpointBuilder"

Hi, you appear to be using Win 7 - the forum prompted you clearly for your full build no. (winver) - why? So we don't have tokeep asking....(!)

    - and no specs for your PC.
    Thanks.

    Sorry. Yes, it's Win7.

Do the specs matter just to restart a service?

Thanks. Should be there as a matter of course. Personally I would look to fix the problem rather than find a workaround. As it's Win 7 I make no further comment. Good luck!

Since it requires admin rights, UAC pops up, but it's good enough:

    c:\Apps\DevManView\DevManView.exe /disable_enable "AudioEndpointBuilder"
