What the hell is this VTRoot?

    Hello!

Today I started setting up my stuff for home recording and got puzzled that I couldn't find any of the VSTs I tried to install. After struggling and not finding things I finally realized that regardless I told the installers to put stuff into c:\program files (x86) it ended in this weird VTRoot\HardDiskVolume4:

I never EVER had seen it before.

From where it came and what do I need to do to remove this thing from my computer and have it back installing things where it should?

    Thanks!

Never mind, I figured it out. It was the stupid Comodo FW.

Do you have an Android Phone? Have you connected it to your computer?
VRoot is a tool that was used to root certain Android devices, granting users elevated privileges and the ability to modify system settings and install custom software.

I do. But I am afraid it was not the reason. I uninstalled the Comodo and the problem disappeared. But I thank you for the info!

You do not need to install any 3rd party Anti-Virus apps in Windows 10 or 11. Microsoft Security (Defender) comes pre bundled with Windows and it works just as well if not better then any other Free or Paid AV program

If you haven't already, we strongly suggest you use the Comodo Uninstaller, even if you use the regular Windows Uninstaller Official Comodo Uninstaller v3.2.0.82 Released - News / Announcements / Feedback - CIS - Comodo Forum This removes all traces of Comodo from the Registry as well.
