Win10 is underlining all my words, either in emails or notepad

As well, the underlined words, when I right click on them tries to change into Spanish. When I tried to fix it in settings/typing by turning spell check on, then off, and selected English as my language, nothing changed. Can anyone help?

It's the Windows that came on my laptop. I get updates automatically, so I've never updated. I'm thinking my laptop is having issue, and my Windows as well.
I am disabled, a senior, and have been using Windows since 2002; I know how to use, but not repair or seriously troubleshoot. computers.

Check to see if you installed Spanish as a secondary language, if you don't use Spanish, then you can remove it Remove a Language in Windows 10

As stated, your Windows version isn't terribly old, but you are behind. The current version of Windows 10 is 22H2 19045.3208. You can check your version by going to Search and type Winver and press Enter.
You can manually upgrade your Windows OS from this page https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 Upgrading can repair a lot of problems.

    I hadn't finished restarting

Thanks, not just for the info but for trying to help.

Well...as of now, the words I am typing are [interlineal]...so the [cuídate] didn't work.

Well...as of now, the words I am typing are underlined...so the update didn't work. The above sentence was the same as this one, but I right clicked on 2 underlined words and yep...Spanish.

    I did a few restarts...no change.
All my words are underlined in red...and right click gets another word but in Spanish. This is weird...

I think this might be an auto-translation setting in your browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome). I cannot guide you exactly, have a look at the browser language settings and remove Spanish, also turn off auto-translation or anything relevant.

I am not sure what's causing it.

What happens when you copy your underlined notepad text and paste it into a new notepad document?

1 What application are you using when you write your emails?

2 Do you really mean C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe?

    That Seemed To Work

Well, I took everyone's advice and messed around with my Chrome settings, and updated my Win 10. I don't know what did it, but right now I am not having red underlines or Spanish translation offered by Spell Check.
    Thanks everyone...

    Thanks.
I used Gmail and Yahoo, and yes, notepad. It's not doing it now...It was even on my posts here, and elsewhere.
    Not doing it anymore.
