Set .jar files to open with java/javaw.exe?

I'm using the GraalVM Enterprise runtime for Java as is provides optimizations that I make use of, but since the runtime comes as a zipped directory and not an installer, it doesn't automatically set the .jar filetype associations. I'm not sure if it's supposed to use java.exe or javaw.exe, I think it's the second but I could be wrong.

Setting either of the two in the regular filetype association in windows settings doesnt work as every time I double click a jar file, nothing happens. I think there's a way to fix this in the classes section of regedit, but I don't know where it is exactly.

Anyone know the key I'm looking for here?
