    Allow yourself plenty of time for an upgrade through Windows Update, it can take some time....

    This post arrived about an hour late. I clicked on the download and install Windows 11 from Windows 10 updates and I noticed that it was at "downloading 8%" for over an hour. then I saw the error message just a few minutes ago. see in the screenshot below.

    One of the very first thing that should be done when installing or upgrading to a new Windows version...

    DISABLE non-Microsoft:
    a) antivirus software
    b) firewall software
    c) drive encryption software

    All I had to do is reboot and the upgrade went well

    Hey everyone I have been a member here since May of 2016 and you have been such a great help to me the many times I asked for help.

    I appreciate the help more than I can express, there were so many of you over the years that helped me but I have to say a special thanks to Brink for the several times he helped me and for all his tutorials.
