Windows always boot to recovery unless i select boot device from BIOS

    Win 10 version 22H2 19045.2965

I have a asus strix g531gt laptop, and it always boot to recovery environment/Advance startup, unless i go into bios boot menu and select boot device manually.

I had this same issue with my previous install but i always ignored it thinking its a windows issue and a clean install would solve it, but as of now i have replaced the old SSD with new Samsung 970evo+, and did a fresh install but it still fails to boot normally.

I have tried system repair which always lead to current issue.
I have only one SDD installed and it is selected in boot priority.
I've tried to enable/disable both Fast Boot and Secure Boot options but no avail.
I've also tried resetting BIOS to default settings that also didn't worked.

So can anyone please help me to identify what might be causing this and solve it.
If you allow i can also post screenshots/Video to explain my issue better.

    Hi,
    1. Please detail how you did the clean install including the source of your installation disk.
Confirm the clean install started by booting from the installation disk.

    2. Please post a screenshot of your partitions using a 3rd party partition manager (e.g. Mintool Partition Wizard) showing all details clearly.

Upload screenshots using forum features e.g. thus:

Tutorials available on screenshots if needed.

Visit the ASUS support website and download the latest BIOS version available for your laptop model. Follow the instructions provided by ASUS to update the BIOS. Sometimes, outdated BIOS can cause booting problems, and updating it may resolve the issue.

Boot into Setup (Bios) go to the Boot tab, Disable Fast Startup. I the UEFI Bios, the First Boot Device should be Windows Boot Manager. Are there any other boot devices in the Boot order?

    Thanks for reply.

    1. i've created usb with windows media creation tool. I can confirm that it is a clean install as this is a new SSD and was completely
blank and never been used with any other system.
    2. here is screenshot from Partition Wizard

I've already tried disabling Fast Boot and secure boot one by one, but results wes same.
here you can see it is the only boot device attached.

Just to check, do you mean this problem DIDN'T happen until you ran 'system repair' - whatever that may be?

No the problem was already there. What i ment is even if i try to do a system repair/restore, reset pc. Nothing works.

    Hello @Aakshat,

In the search box type msconfig > Enter. Click the Boot tab. Post a screenshot.

@Paul Black Hi - if that were set to boot to Safe Mode, how would you explain selecting the boot device allows the PC to boot normally? Thanks.
