    I agree with Les.

Just to add to this solved Thread. It has a nice UI, although if you are comfortable using Command Line, that is also available:

    > FastCopy - Command Line

    I hope this helps.

There are some faster file transfer utilities to copy files from an external hard drive to another external hard drive than using Windows Explorer, such as CopyWhiz, FastCopy, Syncback , Gs Richcopy, and Rclone.

and FastCopy is the highly recommended one as an opensource, fast, and free tool

    Failure

Fastcopy with simple selecting the folders (no command line) failed me.

I wanted to copy my deskop to another folder and after a few seconds it crashed. I was hoping this would work especially for long file names that Windows doesn't like. But no, I uninstalled it.

Fastcopy now wants you to pay. Perhaps that's my issue where it failed me. It also installs a lot of junk that isn't removed by the default uninstaller. I had to use Revo to uninstall it completely.

Been using FastCopy for years on multiple PCS; it never failed me. Whereas TeraCopy crashed multiple times on multiple PCs when trying to copy a very large amount of data with it (more than a few Terabytes of data) no matter what version of TeraCopy I tried. (Some say it turned to crap after version 2.3, but IME it's always been crappy...) When using Robocopy to try to do the same, it starts to hog system resources after a while so it becomes terribly slow. GS RichCopy 360 has a history of invading the discussion with the kind of ads that were poorly disguised as normal posts on a long list of forum websites like almost every time when the subject came up.

This is pure nonsense. The program doesn't contain any ads nor contains any direct messages asking you to pay for anything. There exists a paid (Pro) version alright, and you can enter your license code in the free version if you purchased one, but that's all. It certainly doesn't nag you if you don't own a license. Also, it doesn't install any junk/bloat. It actually even has a portable option so it doesn't install anything that you don't want.
