    Search Icon on Desktop Win 10 Pro not working

    I have tried most of the recommended fixes posted on the internet to no avail. This problem started with the latest update. Running ver: 22h2 (os build) 19045_3086.

    Hi, if 'the latest update' for you is June 13, 2023 - KB5027215
    then, as I've commented in several threads now, this update has been widely reported as causing issues. Perhaps this is one.

    (otherwise see list here for more:
    https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-news/
    }
    However, you're running an Insider build- so you are exposed to potential issues- which may not be fixable- that's your choice.

    Try searching e.g. for
    problems KB5027215

    If what you see is associated with that, try uninstalling it and see if the problem disappears. If so, block the update for now.

    And thank you for your reply.

    Try using an appropriate restore point. If you don't have any, well, using an Insider build, you have to expect problems some time, so need to be prepared. I assume you are using disk imaging routinely as is endlessly advised on tenforums, so you could restore an image if you wish.
