explorer doesn't auto refresh for rename, file deletion, copy/paste

iirc window suppose to update itself asap soon as files are deleted, or renamed and update the renamed file, or when copy/pasted file will show up right away all without having me pressing F5 each time.

I saw some guide online of using "restore defaults" under folder options, but then I'd have to change my settings back each time after clicking on it and im sure its doing more than just fixing this refresh issue.

what is restore default doing exactly? is it a registry change? cause if so and if I know what registry is changing, then I only need the part that is fixing the refresh portion.

    does anyone know?

Refresh has been an unsolvable problem for over twenty years.
I wasted a month of my life searching for and trying claimed solutions. None had any effect for more than a few days if at all. Fiddling with almost anything can also have a temporary effect.
Don't waste your life doing what I did.

I reboot daily and I think it reduces the incidence of Refresh problems. But I might be kidding myself.

i understand it is a difficult task. but since theres leads, and if trace down that lead will have more control on the OS.

on the part when I mention about the restore to default button, it definitely does something. either clean up cache, or reset registry or w/e it is, maybe someone already has looked into it from that aspect hence the question.

See Try3's reply. It is a issue that even Microsoft cannot fix until they figure it out.
