That searchbar....... GRRRR!!!

    That searchbar....... GRRRR!!!


    Every DAMN TIME when I open Edge, I get that IRRITATING SEARCHBAR dropped onto my desktop. Without warning. How do I get rid of that permanently?

    Sean's Disable Microsoft Edge Desktop Search Bar at Startup in Windows 10 worked for me.

    I haven't seen it since, despite several Windows Updates and reboots to test.

    It appeared on my desktop two or three weeks ago (sorry, not really sure exactly), anyway, I simply clicked 'Turn off search bar'.

    Instantly it vanished, and has never returned.

    When I open Edge every time, it reappears. Hiding doesn't help much.
