    yeah i am not really into it either i don't like cracked software on my pc even if i know its safe because it is a way to get caught out. All though the only time i let stuff like this on is is for old game clients where they are shutdown by the manufacture and we can know that the files are somewhat safe through several means.

    Need for speed world is one of them where that game is no longer around but the community has taken the game over and self hosts it with a cracked version of the game.

    Yes but in the case of online games and old mmos they have to reverse engineer and crack the game code so we can play the games, they also have to handle netcode and other stuff which is all breaking a compiled closed source app open and redefining it.

    Need for speed all though fits into being abandoned they need to use the same sort of techniques as they would with cracking games so that we can play them again.

    Abandonment just means it is no longer maintained it could be cracked or not cracked.
