win10 foto data are now system files - how to change

    Hello dear helpers, dear community,

using adobe lightroom one can rename files inside the program.
But it did not change a dozen of the files because they are marked as system files!

How can I change those files back to a normal behaviour?
I do have the full rights for those files and Windows does not show any differende to the other files in the same folder.
Even other programs like rename-it does not load these files.

Any Idea? Any hint would help.
    Thank you in advance

    Manfred,

Which files are reported as system files by your Lightroom application?
Does File explorer confirm that they are system files? [You can add the Attributes column to your File explorer Details view by right-clicking on any column header, selecting More... then setting the checkbox for Attributes.]

    Hi Denis,

thanks for the hint, now I see that those files are marked as SA instead of the normal A.

Wow, this really helped. After seeing the attributes I searched for a program to change these Attributes and found "Attribute Changer". This makes it easy an after changing I tested the results in Lightroom - it worked!!! All files are o.k.
((it seems years ago one used dos for this... - now I remember)).

Again thank you very much and greetings from Nuremberg Germany

Would I be right in thinking that the nef-data files are your pictures whilst the xmp-data files are some sort of control file used by Lightroom?
I find those 2008 files dates very odd.

Do the nef-data files remain as system files when Lightroom is closed?
Has anything changed between the last nef file that is not a system file and the first one that is a system file/
If so I suspect a Lightroom fault. Lightroom classic has a user forum you could search or ask in.
