    So what is the (Default) entry in the relevant Registry key now?
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\7516b95f-f776-4464-8c53-06167f40cc99\17aaa29b-8b43-4b94-aafe-35f64daaf1ee
    It ought to be 2 and the setting should appear in
    Power options,
    Change plan settings,
    Change advanced power settings,
    and you can set the entries to 0 [which then gets saved as the word Never].




    You could use the PowerCfg commands in my other link to achieve the same thing.

    There may be something here that you've not yet considered.. several approaches from monitor settings to group policy..
