numpad keys to quick file search in windows explorer does not work

say I have a folder im working through the files with file name including or start with numbers, I type the number keys above the qwerty keys, it searches the file in windows explorer. However if I was do the same by using number keys on numpad (right side of keyboard) nothing searches. In fact, in order for it to search I'd have to manually click on empty space in that folder in order for numpad key to work.

why is it the original number keys do this just fine without needing to "focus" with mouse clicking on the empty space in the folder while numpad keys require this, even though I am working in the folder already and its technically already focused in both scenario.

    any ideas?

This works if you have Num Lock on.

so I foudn the culprit, its QTabBar it seems. with it's preview feature on for media, it comes with hotkeys which I can't seem to find the options to change them. Do you use Qtabbar?
