Not an update. My post #10..
Clues:
Add Run as Administrator to Any File Type in Windows 7
Also a suggestion:
If you noticed it within a few days ago, and you have System Restore enabled, maybe you can restore your computer to a few days ago, and that possibly could fix it.
(I do want to point out that a few days ago, I was doing a System Restore to a few days back because I changed up a few things on my computer, and didn't feel like manually doing the opposite to restore these things; I was too lazy, did a System Restore and then after the System Restore, I got a BSOD saying "Critical_process_died", which I was surprised at, and was hoping I can fix that!!! I got into Advanced options after Windows 10 didn't start properly a few times, System Restore -> Undo Restore Point, and everything got fixed back. Then I manually undid things instead of System Restore.)
I just wanted to point that out, just in case that System Restore, in general, got somehow corrupt in Windows 10, or only on my Windows 10, or whatnot.
Nothing wrong according to SFC and DISM. I'll try a system restore next week. Too much work to do today.
Thanks, guys.
You're welcome.
If / When you do System Restore, there's a checkbox with a sentence that says to show more Restore Points, (like I attached in my image, inside that orange box). My image doesn't show that checkbox with the sentence because I recently removed all my previous Restore Points, because of that error I got earlier, that I posted above:
And you can see if you can find a reasonable Restore Point...
Edit (8:32 AM my local time):
I found a picture online of the thing I was talking about earlier.
Before trying system restore, I used that Registry hack I mentioned TNA. It didn't remove the "Run as administrator" option from the context menu, it removed only that shield icon... Weird!
Finally, the system restore didn't work for that issue. I used the earliest restore point availabe, also TNA.
I'll wait to see if some future Windows Update fixes it.
UPDATE
After more search work I found a solution for this, and I had it already but didn't know how to recognize it!
It is this option in Easy Context Menu > Context Menu Cleaner:
It removed that command for all non-executable file types, but kept it for executables.
Case solved. Thanks, guys!
