8/27/15 laptop no boot with black screen

On 8/27/15 after a week on Win 10 upgrade free version the laptop Asus G73jw gaming did not boot, just a black screen for many hours. So turned of and back on, then got "had error " your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart after collecting info which just hung there" " Bad_System_Config_Info" no error code. reboot again then it said windows UPDATE 100% done ??? and froze for many hours before I turned off again. It said not to, but after many hours I did and then still got "your pc ran into a problem. and now filled in the info gathering at 100% then it restarted , but same error pc had problem. This time I could go into Advanced menu to try 9 trouble shooting steps. all failed. tried to restore previous win 7 and it DID ask for my password, but I have had same pwd for a long time and it said it was wrong so it failed..... What's next I have no clue. I am a past Microsoft MCP for windows, but no helping on this new 10 version.
    Thank you

Sounds like corrupt or missing registry entries. Use anything that edited the registry at the time ?

Try this, if it helps run system file checker at Admin command Prompt copy and paste, press enter, let it finish

    sfc /scannow

Do not close command prompt and copy paste this next and press enter, let it finish

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Reboot after, may need to reboot more then once and use these commands again.

Try any restore points if available prior to this issue ? Chances you may need to download Windows 10 disc try to do a repair or may have to reinstall. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10

jds63, thanks, I haven't done any registry entrys. Last thing I did was check email then turned it off. Next morning have black screan, what's funny is that after turning on and off I got a messege that updates where 100% complete, but I never asked for it to do that maybe the update was not succesfull and It did not reboot. then possibly the registry got corrupted.

Well as for your suggestion I ran sfc /scannow and it came back quickly and said to reboot and run again. Well when I reboot it goes to the error screan "pc had error. Then it trys on its own to do automatic repair which fails again so I go through the advanced options to get to cmd screen again, but sfc /scannow says a repair scan pending and reboot then try again. Never changes that starement after rebooting. tried the Dism anyway and gets an 87 error no RestoreHealth exits? Well I am stuck again....
Thanks for trying and is there any thing else you might suggest. Seems I can't reboot without it trying a automatic repair. Tried the F10 to go into option booting, but not working on Win 10.

See if you can download a HDD checker from another computer. One that you can save on a thumb drive or a CD. I would be checking for a bad hard drive at this point.

Whichever the best for you, you need to make thumb drive bootable if you use this, DVD if have burning software for ISO. Rufus is good for thumb drive for free http://rufus.akeo.ie/

Error 87 with DISM means somehow entered it wrong in the command prompt. Strange how went about that way requested you to reboot while doing the SFC command. Can try both these commands again, but make sure copy paste DISM exactly.

Sometimes this original issue stated Bad Config can come from software or hardware added, but said did nothing lately.
