Your Welcome, i am here to help, no i am not a Microsoft employee, just knowledge from many years of owning a PC. Only used reference for virus from thought of it being a corrupt boot record, as it is one cause for part of boot record, sure this case is rare.

Your welcome, but still not solved yet. I will receive when you post back, chances only have 9 days to go back to Windows 7, i see a possible clean install in your future if staying with 10, unless doubtfully it's hardware related.

    jds63,
Thank you for your help a couple of days ago. This is just an update after late at night I finally found a way using the boot disk you had me make. All day I couldn't revert back to a previous build, but I for some reason found 2 previous dates and restored to the first day I converted to Win 10. I do have it running, but It says I cannot go back to Win 7 as the data was removed for some reason.
    Thanks again

Looks like you used a restore point. Is this what worked ? Again did upgrade on 8/10/15 only 8 days to go back to Windows 7, was this one of dates you saw ? Yes if folders are missing form system holding older OS, somehow was corrupted or you cleaned them up. Need to explain more, if i am right it was a system restore that helped, still do not know the cause of the issue from the beginning. Your Welcome.

Hi jds63, Yes the restore points I found late in the night after you left. I was booting of the boot win 10 cd. I tried it back to 8/12/15 I think. It worked and I could get a clean boot up. I tried to go back to win 7 and it said the files have been removed, which we did not do this or at least not intentionally. I loaded the new version of zonealarm anti virus and did not find any viruses. JUST a note, I looked in file manager and still see Windows.old which has Win 7 files. so that sucks that I cannot do it. I do not find any disk errors. If you have any suggestions I would try them.

Basically everything is working fine since the prior restore point ? Do you really want to try to go back to Windows 7 at this point knowing you may not be able to go back to Windows 10 unless you buy a retail version ? Having 8 days i pretty much assume left to go back to old OS. As you do not have a Windows 7 disc, need to try to roll back now, then either stay there or do an upgrade again see how it goes and then maybe a possible clean install may solve issues from before. Still wonder what main cause of issue was, if it did have anything to do with boot record at all.
