Do not reinstall yet,try a repair first. If that fails just wondering if ever wanted to go back to older OS or not.

Said you tried before and it failed, maybe can give more details on method you tried exactly to go back. What you are saying is stay with Windows 10, because only 30 days after upgrade you can go back, unless have a disc.

When I followed the error on my screen I came to advanced option and did a reboot which came up with 8 options, where one was restore previous operating system. I di the first time and it ask for my previous password, it said it was wrong and failed. I use same pwd for a long time so something isn't good here. I I try to bring up same option it fals without asking for a password now. I went through all options and all of them doesn't work.

    Talking about this https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-windows-10-a.html

You did get here successfully with no errors can try command prompt here with the SFC and DISM commands. I would try to use a disc to repair, then if want to go back to Windows 7 might be possible, again 30 day rule still be in place i am pretty sure.

Hi jds63, thanks for your help. To answer your last reply I cannot get to the Advanced Startup Options without getting all the errors. That's where I can get the cmd window, but not working. I do have the Boot Win 10 disk in and booted to it. Got to the screen where I could do repair, but it is the same as if I booted to the C: drive and sfc gives same error the a repair is in progress_ reboot and try again. Well my last option is I and resetting the pc with keeping the files. This what is going on now. Let you know the outcome when done.

    Thank You

jds63, Well there was a problem resetting the pc no changes made. Now which option should I use, or reinstall all. Possibly the disk went bad??? Is the a cmd that we used to use to rewrite the boot record?

    Thanks again
