Removing utility from rightmouse click menu

Hello!

I installed an old utility to my right-click menu in Widnows 10 called File2Folder. It allows me to select multiple files and group them into a folder using an option from the right-click. I use it daily. However, I replaced my drive and now m getting an error. Is there a way I can remove it from the right-click menu so I can reinstall it? I can't figure out how to do it as its a shell extension. I searched in the registry but no luck.

I had presumed that Revo would be able to identify the "Files 2 Folder" context menu installation and be able to uninstall it.

However, I have just re-tested "Files 2 Folder" (Version1 from the link provided) with Revo free and it could not identify the F2F Context Menu installer. So back to the manual method which seems to work as follows when the original Files2Folder.exe file is missing for any reason.

Download the utility again and extract the contents of the zip to the folder you wish to install it from.
Open a Command Promt as Admin and enter the following command to unregister the F2F context item (Note- use your own path to where you have extracted the zip contents).

Code:

"C:\custom\folder\Files2Folder.exe" -u

Then you can re-register it again using the above command without the -u option either from the same Admin Command Box,or running Files2Folder.exe as admin .

Code:

"C:\custom\folder\Files2Folder.exe"

Note: testing on a Windows 11 VM required both the commands to "unregister" and "register" to be run as Admin.

This fixed it! Sorry for the delay. I appreciate all the input from everyone. Yeah, it did not show up anywhere which was the problem.

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to test this for me. It unregistered it immediately and let me reinstall. I use this thing all the time so I'm very appreciative.

If the utility isn't properly registered (tested by moving 'file2folder.exe' out of its original location), that is the kind of message I got for "any" file on which the Context menu "Files 2 Folder" was clicked.

(eg. One of the modes in which the the utility works is by using the clicked file name extensions and creating sub-folders named with those extensions eg. clicking on "example.txt" would create a sub-folder called "txt" and move "example.txt" to the "txt" folder. But, if the file2folder.exe is not correctly registered, the message as shown in the original post would be shown but in this case it would refer to "example txt").
