Since slowness is a concern, you could run Disk cleanup every so often to clean out the temporary files that can cause the problem. I run it every month & I think that other people might run it weekly.

You have enough on your plate so I won't harp on about the risks from turning off UAC.

    Best of luck,

Thats reality pal. Boot with HDD takes about 3-5 mins, every day. Add the waiting, to fully load the windows services, after logging into to desktop... Such a pity that back then, SSD's didnt had the recognition onto pc's builts..

    OK.
Disk cleanup is not really a health issue. It's clearing out such things as temporary files that can be a drag on computer speed.
In a series of tests in the Win7 era, Disk cleanup was demonstrated as achieving as much of a boost to performance as so-called Registry cleaners did. Which, incidentally, also demonstrated that nothing else those Registry cleaners did achieved anything beneficial at all.

    Thanks for the rep,

Yes, some programs back in time (iobit, ccleaner), did the job without bothering you with that disk cleanup thing.. Nowdays, after an half decade, on win10, I feel that I didn't take care of the pc as much as I should have.

In general, those utilities ran their own version of Disk cleanup and they also poked around in the Registry.

I have an old computer that I use as a Windows 11 testbed. It is held together with almost two metres of sticky tape.

Do you mind telling me why you have turned off UAC?
My UAC is at its highest level yet I hardly ever have to use it during routine work [MSOffice, browsers, audio-video editing].

    All the best,

Well, lets say that was so annoying as the sticky keys.
I'm not gonna break the system32 in no means, and in the safe limits of UAC, as opening programs in administrator
privilengies, programs in general, that (In my control) wants to change info onto my system, in an <<advanced>> user, is
no needed. But of course I'm taking an second thought, before I do something, like, for example, extremely changes on windows, also I talking to guys, that can provide help, as they are more pro that me !

I was not concerned about anything you might be doing.
With UAC off, you do not see any notification if anybody else is making Admin-level changes to your computer.
